Announcements

In recognition of Independence Day, CAT service will not be available on Saturday, July 4, 2009. Regular service will resume on Sunday, July 5, 2009. Triangle Transit's Wake Forest Express service will not be available on Friday, July 3rd, 2009. The Wake Forest Loop, however, will be in service on Friday. Have a Happy and Safe 4th of July!

 

ART Program updates

Effective July 1, 2009 ART Tier I tickets will increase in cost to $15.00 per book.

Effective August 3, 2009, Accessible Raleigh Transportation (ART) will require all ART Tier I and Tier II participants to be present when purchasing ART Tier I script or Tier II tickets.  A valid ART Tier I or II ID card must be presented when purchasing tickets.  This rule will apply at Moore Square Transit Mall Booth and at the collections office located at the Raleigh Municipal Building on 222 West Hargett Street.

All ART Customers will continue to be able to purchase ART Tier I script and ART Tier II tickets via the U.S. mail. The tickets must be mailed to the clients recorded address listed on their ART Tier I or II identification card.

It is our intent to make sure that ART Customers are provided the highest level of customer service by the City of Raleigh's Transit Program.



Hillsborough Street Construction

The road improvement project on Hillsborough St will cause detours and delays throughout the construction process. We will do our best to notify our riders as changes occur. Click here  to find out more about this project.

 

WakeMed Construction Completed!
The construction at WakeMed has been completed and we have returned to our normal route. Outbound from New Bern Ave Routes 15 and 34 will turn right at the Heart Center (first) entrance to the hospital, follow the driveway around to the Emergency Room side of the hospital and return to the regular route. Inbound from Swinburne Route 15 will turn LEFT on the road that goes around WakeMed and follow it around to the Heart Center side of the hospital. If you wish to catch Route 15 INBOUND at Wake Med the pick up point is on the road that goes around the hospital beside the parking deck on the Heart Center side of the hospital.

Street Closure -  200 Block of East Martin St. between Blount and Person St. and the 200 block of South Person St. between Martin and Hargett Streets. 

 

#5 # 22 #32- Biltmore Hills, State Street, Sanderford Rd.

Outbound – From MSS, exit through Purple Zone, RIGHT on Hargett St., RIGHT on Bloodworth St., LEFT on Martin St., RIGHT on East St., resume route.

Inbound – None.

 

#35 –  Poole Road

Outbound – From MSS, exit through Purple Zone, RIGHT on Hargett St., RIGHT on Bloodworth St., LEFT on Martin St., resume route.

Inbound – NONE.

 

#13 – Chavis Heights

Outbound – From MSS, take Blount St., LEFT on Davie St., RIGHT on East St., resume route.

Inbound – NONE.

 

R-LINE –  After 6:30 pm, we will not be able to serve the alternate evening route down Martin St. to Person St and instead will follow the daytime route through this segment. We will serve the Warehouse District with the normal alternative route after 6:30 PM.

 

 

 

Hillsborough Street Construction
Route 12 Method is currently unable to make the turn at Hillsborough and Enterprise. Route 12 Outbound will continue on Clark Ave to turn left on Brooks Ave, turn right on Hillsborough St and return to the regular route. Inbound Route 12 will turn left on Brooks Ave, turn right on Clark Ave and return to the regular route. This detour is expected to last approximately 4 weeks. We regret the inconvenience for our customers.

Sunnybrook Rd Construction
Sungate Blvd is closed at Sunnybrook Rd due to road construction. From Sunnybrook Rd outbound Route 19 will turn right on Carl Sandburg Ct proceeding to the cul-de-sac where it will turn around to serve the stop at the Employment Security Commission (ESC). The closest stop to the VA Clinic is in front of the ESC on Carl Sandburg Ct.
