Public Workshops Round Two
The purpose of the Public Workshops Round Two was to outline the key issues that will guide the revision to the Plan. We discussed some options and ideas for addressing the City’s growth and development-related challenges and opportunities. You learned about and discussed different types of new policies and strategies that can be used to shape and guide growth.
In two, one-hour small-group discussions you had the opportunity to share your ideas on the issues, new policies, and potential strategies. Expanding Housing Choices (handout, questionnaire) — housing for low income residents as well as the issue of housing in general.

Economic Prosperity & Equity ( handout, questionnaire) — Embracing the creative economy is central to Raleigh's competitive position, while fostering economic prosperity that is broadly shared by households across the city.

Growing Successful Neighborhoods & Communities( handout, questionnaire) — managing growth and change in both established neighborhoods as well as better design and mixed use in new developments.

Managing Our Growth ( handout, questionnaire) — city-wide growth management, regional coordination, and sewer and water infrastructure.

Coordinating Land Use and Transportation ( handout, questionnaire) — addresses the need to better coordinate land development with transportation investments.
