Nonprofit Request for Proposals (Ongoing)

City of Raleigh and Wake County

Wake County and the City of Raleigh are pleased to announce the availability of funds for qualified non-profit developers of affordable housing.  You are invited to submit a proposal for funding.

Funds are available in the form of low-interest rate loans to non-profits proposing to produce ownership housing for low-income persons, to assist in the purchase/rehabilitation of affordable single-family detached homes, or for the purchase/rehabilitation or new construction of low-income multi-family rental units.

Funds may be used for site acquisition, site improvements, purchase and rehabilitation of existing units and/or the construction of new units.  Direct homebuyer assistance is also available.

For information contact Amy Cole at Wake County Housing and Community Revitalization at 919-856-6318 or amy.cole@co.wake.nc.us or Aimee Holtsclaw at the City of Raleigh Community Development Department at Aimee.Holtsclaw@ci.raleigh.nc.us or 919-996-6948.

The full RFP and application can be downloaded from the County’s website at: http://www.wakegov.com/bids/default.htm

If you are applying for both County and City funds, you can use one application for both sources of funds.

All applications must be received at Wake County Housing and Community Revitalization, Wake County Office Building, 336 Fayetteville St., Suite 448, Raleigh, NC 27601.  Incomplete applications will not be reviewed.  This is a rolling application cycle.  We will accept applications until all funds are awarded to eligible developments.
