Fayetteville Street is now open to vehicular traffic.  The wide streetscape is a perfect backdrop for artwork, it also host open space for outdoor dining. The open vista to the Capitol will allow flexibility for parades, festivals and other events.

Phase I – the first four blocks from the Capitol south to the Sheraton Hotel opened on July 29, 2006 with a festival that brought thousands to the downtown event.
