Independence Day, Observed Monday, July 5, 2010
Curbside and Multi-Family Collection
There will be no changes to scheduled collections on this week for recycling, garbage or yard waste collection. The observed Independence Day holiday falls on a Monday and there are no routes run on Mondays.
Yard Waste Center
The City's Yard Waste Center will be CLOSED on Monday, July 5, 2010.
Central Business District
The Central Business District will receive normal pick up Monday, July 5, 2010.

Labor Day, Observed Monday, September 6, 2010

Holiday collection days are usually changed only for a regularly scheduled day falling directly on a city observed holiday. If a city observed holiday falls on a Tuesday or Wednesday, collection for the service day falling on the holiday will occur on the prior Monday. If a city observed holiday falls on a Thursday or Friday, collection for the service day falling on the holiday will occur on the following Saturday.

Collection schedules are subject to change due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances. To verify any last minute changes, watch local newspapers, call the Solid Waste Hotline at 996-6194, or call Solid Waste Services at 996-6890.
Residents may also request to be included in the Solid Waste Services Email Distribution List. As a member they will receive email notification of schedule changes and other important news about waste reduction and recycling. Email your request to be a member of this group to sws@raleighnc.gov.
