Find My Service Day
Steps to Determine your Weekly Collection Day
All collection services (garbage, recycling, and yard waste) are provided on the same day each week. Residents may look up their service day by following the steps below.
-
-
After the map loads, select either "owner" or "address" in the left hand frame.
-
Enter the requested information in the frame on the right hand side and click on "search".
-
The map will zoom in to the requested address. The service day of the week and the corresponding garbage and yard waste route number will be displayed on the map.
-
To determine your recycling route number: Under "Select A View" below the map, you will need to select any other view except "Raleigh Trash & Recycling" and then click back ON "Raleigh Trash & Recycling". This will open a selection of map layers in the right hand frame with boxes to check on or off. By default the "Trash Collection Routes" is selected. Uncheck the "Trash Collection Routes" box. Check the "Recycling Collection Routes" box. Now the corresponding route number for recycling will be shown on the map.
Remember, routes may be changed due to holidays or weather events. Check our link to holiday collection schedules for the most current information.
** Last fiscal year (July 1, 2007-June 30, 2008) Raleigh residents created 161,596 TONS of waste. Of that, they recycled only 20%. 128,831 tons were buried in Wake County's landfill (80%), 21,006 tons were collected recylable materials to be made into new products (13%) and 11,759 tons were yard waste materials collected and taken to the city's Yard Waste Recycling Center to be made into mulch and compost (7%). **
