Recycle and Win!

Raleigh, Coca-Cola & Harris Tetter

The City of Raleigh, NC based Coca-Cola Consolidated, Harris Teeter and the North Carolina Department of Environment and Natural Resources’ Division of Pollution Prevention and Environmental Assistance (DPPEA) have created a partnership designed to increase recycling throughout the city.

Recycle and Win mailer.

The program kick-offs on Nov. 3, 2009.

Recycle & Win is a public/private initiative designed to increase participation and educate citizens on the correct items to recycle. The program will run for six months. The City is sending an educational mailer from Coca-Cola to all single-family households in Raleigh.

Inside the Recycle and Win mailer.

Recycling the Right Way

The mailer describes the correct items to recycle, along with an opportunity to win a $50 Harris Teeter gift card simply for doing the right thing! The educational mailer contains a sticker, which residents should place on their recycling bin in order to win. If they are spotted recycling—and recycling the right way—they could be rewarded.

Recycle and Win! Decals

The Recycle and Win! decal must be on your recycle bin to make it eligible to win. The decal should face the street when placing the recycling bin at the curbside for collection so it can easily be spotted by the Prize Patrol.

Neighborhoods are randomly selected.

The Recycle and Win! Prize Patrol will be visiting neighborhoods all over the City. Specific areas will be randomly selected by computer. Will your recycling bin be ready with the correct materials and proper preparation?
