Seasonal Leaf Collection

The City of Raleigh Public Works Street Maintenance Division has concluded its annual loose leaf collection program for the year. City crews made two complete sweeps of Raleigh beginning just before Christmas and completed their routes in mid-February.

Leaves now will be picked up in accordance with weekly yard waste collection on regularly scheduled collection days. Leaves and other yard waste must be placed in CLEAR plastic bags or permanent containers or biodegradable paper yard waste bags. Yard waste also may be tied into bundles of not more than five feet in length, 18 inches in diameter and 75 pounds in weight.
