Compost Bins and Accessories for Sale


To promote backyard composting and make it easier for residents, the City of Raleigh offers compost bins and accessories for sale to residents at reduced prices.  The compost bins and kitchen pails (to hold scraps in between trips to the compost bin) are available for sale while quantities last.

  • $32 (tax included)

 

A kitchen pail with a handle is also available. It can be used to store kitchen scraps in the refrigerator until the next trip out to the compost bin. The price for the kitchen pail is $6.00.

Items may only be purchased Monday - Friday, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the City of Raleigh Solid Waste Services Administrative Office at 400 W. Peace Street.  Checks made payable to Norseman Plastics are the only form of payment accepted.
