American Recovery and Reinvestment Act Transparency Page

City of Raleigh Community Development Department

Raleigh's Transparency Page

The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act is an unprecedented effort to jumpstart our economy, save and create millions of jobs, and put a down payment on addressing long-neglected challenges so our country can thrive in the 21st century. This Act contains built-in measures to root out waste, inefficiency, and unnecessary spending.

Visit www.recovery.gov to see the federal governmental program. Raleigh will update this page with local information as money is received and spent.

HPRP offers a helping hand

Homeless Prevention and Rapid Re-Housing

Raleigh is eligible to receive $991,091 from this program. The Homeless Prevention and Rapid Re-Housing Program (HPRP) is designed to help individuals and families who are in danger of becoming homeless stay in their housing or to rapidly move homeless households into permanent housing through financial assistance and housing relocation and stabilization services.

Neighborhood Stabilization Program

Neighborhood Stabilization Program

Raleigh was awarded $2,625,000 in Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP) funds. The goal is to stabilize a few targeted neighborhoods by acquiring foreclosed or abandoned properties and rehabilitate them or demolish and build new affordable housing. All NSP properties will create affordable housing for low- and moderate-income households. CD had a meeting on June 6. Click here  for details and here for the area map.
