Raleigh Neighborhood Registry
The Neighborhood Registry is the City’s official list of neighborhood-based organizations, such as neighborhood associations, garden clubs, homeowners’ associations and Community Watch groups.
The Registry provides a means of communication and partnership between neighborhood-based groups and City government. It enables the City to identify and support neighborhood-based organizations, whether they are long-established or have recently formed. In addition, organizations on the Registry may apply for Neighborhood Improvement Matching Grants.
The Community Services Department can help residents form a neighborhood association, whose membership is open to all residents within a defined neighborhood. (A neighborhood association is different from a homeowners’ association, which typically consists of property owners only and has restrictive covenants.)
All neighborhood-based organizations are encouraged to register. To register, complete an application (Microsoft Word .doc) and e-mail it charlene.willard@ci.raleigh.nc.us. The application (Acrobat .pdf) also may be printed and mailed to:
