Route 4 operates from 4:30 AM - 8:00 PM Monday - Friday and 5:00 AM - 8:00 PM on Saturday. Portions of this route are served by Route 33c Glenwood - Creedmor during the evening and Route 38 Blue Ridge during the evening and on Sunday. Service is available on some portions of our system from 4:30 AM to midnight Monday - Friday, 5:30 AM - Midnight on Saturday and 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM on Sunday.

Outbound From Downtown
Route 4 Rex Hospital begins in the Blue Zone at Moore Square Transit Station in Downtown Raleigh and basically travels North. Leaving Moore Square Transit Station the bus turns LEFT on Hargett Street, RIGHT on Wilmington Street looping LEFT around to Salisbury Street, RIGHT on Edenton Street which becomes Hillsborough Street traveling past St. Mary’s College and the NCSU Belltower, RIGHT on Dixie Trail traveling past Olds Elementary, LEFT on Wade Avenue, RIGHT on Ridge Road traveling past Ridgewood Shopping Center, Lacy Elementary, and Martin Middle School, LEFT on Lake Boone Trail to Rex Hospital, RIGHT and then LEFT to Rex Surgicenter traveling past the parking deck and Emergency Room, LEFT on the access road to the parking lot, RIGHT on Blue Ridge Road/Duraleigh, RIGHT on Edwards Mill Road which turns into Creedmoor Road, RIGHT on Crabtree Valley Avenue, LEFT into Crabtree Valley Mall. Leaving Crabtree Valley Mall the bus turns RIGHT onto Crabtree Valley Avenue, RIGHT on Creedmoor Road traveling past Creedmoor Crossing Shopping Center ,Jeffries Grove Elementary School, Lynwood Collection Shopping Center and Stonehenge Shopping Center, and LEFT on Brennan Station which is the end of the line.
Inbound towards Downtown
From Brennan Station the bus turns RIGHT into Towne North Shopping Center, RIGHT onto Strickland Road, RIGHT on Creedmoor Road, LEFT on Crabtree Valley Avenue, LEFT into Crabtree Valley Mall, RIGHT on Blue Ridge Rd, RIGHT on Crabtree Valley Avenue, LEFT onto Creedmoor Rd which turns into Edwards Mill Rd, LEFT on Duraleigh Rd which turns into Blue Ridge Rd. LEFT into Rex Hospital, traveling past the Emergency Room, parking deck and SurgiCenter, LEFT on Lake Boone Tr, RIGHT on Ridge Rd, LEFT on Wade Ave, RIGHT in Dixie Tr, LEFT on Hillsborough St, bears RIGHT on Morgan St, LEFT on McDowell ST, RIGHT on Jones St, RIGHT on Salisbury St, LEFT on Martin St and LEFT into Moore Square Station which is the end of the line.
