Minimum Requirements: At least 6 years of experience, preferably in accounts receivable. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and CPA required, or Masters degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related field required. Knowledge of accounts receivable and collections. Prior supervisory or management experience. Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written). Extensive experience with financial systems. Oracle PeopleSoft (or similar ERP system) experience highly desirable.
Position Duties:
Manages centralized City of Raleigh accounts receivables utilizing Oracle PeopleSoft system. Assists in implementation of Oracle PeopleSoft accounts receivable module. Oversees centralized accounts receivable processes including invoicing, collections, aging reporting, account reconciliations, and write-offs. Enhances City accounts receivable collection efforts by implementing or expanding collection methods such as bank and wage garnishments and magistrate's collection of returned checks. Supervises staff of 4 Senior Accounts Receivable Specialists.
