Public Safety Issue Team


This issue team is responsible for developing methods for engaging, enlightening, and involving the community to understand how to problem solve issues that affect the safety and well being of the community environment. Alignment between the police district and community policing requires a constant and open dialogue of resolution and participation. Educating citizens on their role is critical to success

Responsibilities for the Public Safety Issue Team

  • Researches, identifies, and promotes programs that elevate community awareness and involvement around a safe environment.
  • Engages the community and police department in dialogues on community policing ideas and practices.
  • Supports community groups on safety initiatives


Meeting Information: This team meets the first Tuesday of each month at 6:00pm at the Safety Club.
