Housing Issue Team


This issue team is responsible for developing methods to enhance the quality of available housing, improve the environment of residential neighborhoods, increase the opportunity for affordable homeownership and rental units, attract high quality market rate housing and residential communities and address special housing needs.


Responsibilities for the Housing Issue Team

  • Identifies and addresses issues on housing from market rate to development zone housing programs
  • Researches and develops proposals for City Council consideration
  • Identifies and works on solutions for short term housing issues
  • Regularly interfaces with CD and Planning Departments about in-fill development
  • Fosters neighborhood preservation and community redevelopment.


Meeting Information: This team meets the first Tuesday of each month at noon in the Municipal Building, room 237.
