RTNSV, the City's online streaming video service, has launched the video of the month series, a quick look at a spotlighted event or service. We'll also provide link to supplemental materials to each video if relevant.

May 2008: First Annual Environmental Awards
The Capital City celebrated Earth Day 2008 in a memorable way on April 22 with the presentation of the First Annual City of Raleigh Environmental Awards. Now RTNSV is showing the ceremony in which the green champs were honored as the Video of the Month for May.
March/April 2008: Will The Water Run Out?
As Wake County suffers through a historic drought, water restrictions and conservation are more important than ever. But are these measures enough? That is the focus of this community forum on water challenges for Wake County, held at N.C. State's McKimmon Center on February 23. This vital, fascinating video is presented in two parts. Part 1 will focus on Water Resource Challenges and serves as March's Video of the Month. Part 2 tackles Policy Considerations and serves as April's Video of the Month. Each part is about 80 minutes.

February 2008: City Show
The City Show, hosted by Director of Public Affairs Jayne Kirkpatrick, is a monthly program that spotlights events, programs or initiatives that shape the City of Raleigh. This month's episode looks back at the city's accomplishments in 2007 with City Manager J. Russell Allen. You can find City Show on RTNSV and RTN 11 each month.
January 2008: Park Connection
Ready to get out and enjoy the new year? Check out the December episode of Park Connection, the monthly 30-minute show presented by the City's Parks and Recreation Department and Raleigh Television Network. This episode, hosted by Dan Bacon, features a look at the new Carolina Pines Dog Park, a spotlight on the city's English as a Second Language program and much more. You can find Park Connection on RTNSV each month.
December 2007: First Night Raleigh Preview Show
Get ready to ring in the New Year with this 30-minute preview show for the 17th annual First Night Raleigh. This year's First Night features Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter and Raleigh native Tift Merritt along with an exciting mix of music, art, comedy and more! November 2007: Designing a 21st Century City Lecture Series
Can you imagine what the City of Raleigh will be like in 2010? 2050? 2100? Discuss and understand the implications of decisions made today on our city's future by checking out the award-winning "Designing a 21st Century City" lecture series. These fascinating presentations concluded this month with "Creating Urban Form," held Nov. 6 at the Fletcher Opera Theater at the Progress Energy Center for the Performing Arts. Each of these lectures run about 2 hours in length.

October 2007: Fire Safety Tips
October is National Fire Prevention Month. The Fire Marshall's Minute covers aspects of fire safety in an engaging and informative manner. These videos run 1-5 minutes in length.

September 2007: Raleigh Hall Of Fame Interviews
Four of the 2007 Raleigh Hall of Fame inductees, Dr. Frederick Burroughs, N.C. State women's basketball coach Kay Yow, Smedes York and Nancy Olson are featured this month. The interviews are divided into two 30-minute segments.

Join Neusie, the City's resident "Spokesfish," in a virtual tour of the Raleigh's water treatment plants. The Neuse River waste water plant tour recently received the 2007 National Environmental Achievement Award for a public education video.
