Optimist Pool

Optimist Pool opens June 1, 2009.

The facility was renovated by converting the pool enclosure from a air supported bubble to a fabric tension structure.  The old bath house has been replaced with a new, up to date facility including spacious locker rooms and a classroom. For information about this project, please view the Current Projects page of Raleigh Parks and Recreation.

Optimist Pool is one of three year-round swimming venues operated by the City of Raleigh.  It is located at 5902 Whittier Drive in the Northclift subdivision between Six Forks Road and North Hills Drive.
