Sports Programs


The Senior Adult Program sponsors many year-round sports programs for seniors age 55 and over.  All experience levels and abilities are welcome to participate. Below are our current activities:

 

Badminton:  Free play on Thursdays at 10:30am, and Saturdays at 1:30pm.  Held at Optimist Community Center, 5900 Whittier Drive. Equipment provided. 

Basketball (3-on-3):  Free play on Mondays at 3:30pm at Barwell Road Community Center, 3935 Barwell Rd.; and Thursdays at 3:30pm at Method Road Community Center, 514 Method Rd.

Bocce Ball:  Free use of courts and equipment 7 days/week at Lake Lynn Community Center, 7921 Ray Road.

Fun Golfers: League play from April-November.  All skill levels welcome.  Home course is Wil-Mar Golf Club, 2300 Old Milburnie Rd.  Click here for more information on Fun Golfers.

Horseshoes:  Free play each Saturday at 9:00am (weather permitting) at Athens Drive High School, 1420 Athens Drive. Equipment provided.

Shuffleboard:  Free play each Saturday at 9:00am (weather permitting) at Athens Drive High School, 1420 Athens Drive. Equipment provided.

Table Tennis:   Free play on Tuesdays at 6:00pm and Saturdays at 9:00am at Lake Lynn Community Center, 7921 Ray Road; and Saturdays at 9:15am at Optimist Community Center, 5900 Whittier Drive.  Equipment provided.

Tennis:  Free play every Monday and Thursday beginning at 9:00am at Millbrook Exchange Tennis Complex, 1905 Spring Forest Rd.
