Trips and Travel

Over 25 trips are offered each year by the Senior Adult Program, including one-day trips to local attractions; multi-day motorcoach tours; fly trips, cruises and international destinations.  Our annual calendars will show the various destinations each month we plan to visit; however, final itineraries for each individual trip are sent via paper mail or e-mail as soon as each registraiton flyer is finalized throughout the year. So be sure to complete and return the registration section of our trip brochure to receive upcoming mailings.

The 2010 Trip Brochure is now available  - click here to download!

Once you recieve each individual trip flyer, registrations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis with payment. Payment must be submitted with the completed registration form for each trip.

In addition to these travel opportunities, trips are also part of some other year round programs:

The SOAR Program (Seniors Outdoor Adventure & Recreation):  These outings involve both one-day and multi-day trips that include light hiking, flatwater canoeing and other outdoor activities. Call 807-8525 for more details.

The "Read and Go" series fetures trips to areas of North Carolina that pre-selected fiction and non-fiction novels are based around. Call 807-8525 for more information.  To obtain more infomation on all our trips and travel programs, please call 831-6851 or 807-8525.
