After School and Teacher Workdays


The Teen Program is proud to now offer after school and teacher workday programs for middle school students!  These programs aim to provide fun and exciting activities for students who are looking for something to do when school is out.  Do you want an after school program just for middle schoolers?  Our Middle School After School is the perfect place for middle school students who need an after school program designed just for them.  Looking for something fun to do on a teacher workday?  Then take part in Middle School Mania, our teacher workday program that takes place at 3 sites throughout the city.  If you're wanting to do more than sit around the house when school is out, the Teen Program has lots to offer!  Participants must be in 6th-8th grade. 

After School Programs

Middle School After School
The Middle School After School Program is a great opportunity for middle school students who need after school options.  Age appropriate activities and designated homework time will be a part of this program.  Registration begins March 2 and a $25 deposit is required.  There are limited spots, so sign up now!  Program runs from school dismissal until 6pm. 

Cost: $1,400 City Resident, $1,520 Non-City Resident (payment plans available)

Program Dates and Location:
July 7, 2009-June 30, 2010 at Lake Lynn Community Center
August 25, 2009-June 9, 2010 at Millbrook Exchange Community Center  

Teacher Workday Programs

Middle School Mania
Are you looking to escape boredom on a teacher workday?  If so, Middle School Mania is just for you!  Local community centers will be hosting Dance Dance Revolution competitions, sports activities, interactive video games that will get you up and moving, cooking competitions, jewelry design, and much more!  The program runs from 7:30am-6:00pm

Cost: $30 City Resident, $40 Non-City Resident

September 28, November 25, December 21-22, December 29-30, January 18, January 25, February 15, March 29, April 1, and April 5.

Laurel Hills Community Center
September 28, October 30, November 25, December 21-23, December 28-30, January 25, February 15, March 29-31, April 1, and April 5. 

Millbrook Exchange Community Center
September 28, November 25, December 21-22, December 29-30, January 18, January 25, February 15, March 29, April 1, and April 5.

 

If you are in need of Track Out options for your middle school student, the Track Out X-Press Program at Lake Lynn will accept participants up to 8th grade.
