New Right of Way Permitting Process for Commercial Projects
Effective July 1, 2008, all projects that pertain to the construction, alteration, repair, and demolition of commercial buildings that encroach upon the City’s right of way, will require a Right of Way permit as part of the Commercial or Express plans review process.
In addition to the Right of Way permit application, clients will be required to submit four (4) separate sets of 11 X 14 plans in addition to the commercial plans submitted as part of the commercial plans submittal package. Right of Way plans may be submitted separately and in advance of submitting building plans for commercial review.
Non-construction related projects such as moving a house that require a Right of Way permit have been processed at no charge in the past. Effective July 1, 2008, these projects will also be charged the minimum permit fee of $72.00.
