Applications Being Accepted For Fall Neighborhood College
The Raleigh Neighborhood College, a program offered by the City of Raleigh in partnership with Wake County, is taking applications for its fall session.
The Raleigh Neighborhood College provides citizens with an opportunity to learn about City and County governments and the services provided by both. Students will explore new and enhanced ways of increasing citizen participation. They also will meet and interact with City and County staff members and other Raleigh residents. Students will be provided with the tools to become involved with neighborhood improvement and community organization.
The fall session will last 13 weeks, from Sept. 11 to Dec. 11. Classes will meet on Thursdays from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Classes generally will meet at Peace College but some sessions will take place at City of Raleigh facilities. Dinner will be provided to students at no cost. Only 25 students will be accepted for the fall session.
