Raleigh Opposes Local Governments Taking Over Maintenance Of State Roads
The Raleigh City Council unanimously adopted a resolution on April 21 that expresses the City’s opposition to proposed legislation transferring maintenance responsibility for state roads to local governments. The North Carolina General Assembly is considering three bills that would shift financial responsibility for thousands of miles of state roads from the State of North Carolina to local governments.
