Fun Summer ESL Classes with Raleigh Parks and Recreation
Spanish for kids is for ages 6-11 years old and will introduce children to the Spanish speaking world. Students will learn basic greetings, shapes, senses, calendar dates and more. Students will also enjoy a cultural component which includes singing Spanish songs and breaking open a piñata. The fee for this class is $30 and offered at Millbrook on Thursdays starting June 5 through June 26 and July 10 through July 31. Class is from 6-7 p.m. It is also being offered at Brier Creek Community Center on Wednesdays starting June 11 through July 2 and July 16 through August 6 from 6-7 p.m.
Spanish Introduction is for ages 18 years and up. This course is an introduction to basic conversational Spanish with an emphasis on listening and speaking. Topics such as time, days, months, colors, dialogues, and present tense of verbs are covered. The fee is $45 and offered at Millbrook on Wednesdays from May 7 through July 11 from 6:30 - 8 p.m. The class is also offered at Method Road Community Center on Tuesdays from May 6 through June 10 from 6:30 p.m. - 8 p.m.
Spanish Intermediate course is a continuation of introduction to Spanish with continued emphasis on listening and speaking. This class is also offered for ages 18 years and up. The fee is $45 and offered at Millbrook on Wednesdays starting June 25 through July 30 from 6:30 - 8 p.m. Spanish Intermediate is also offered at Method Road Community Center on Tuesdays starting June 24 through July 29 from 6:30 - 8 p.m.
