Help Us Welcome Back Bugs And Pond Critters!


Doodlebug Detectives
Little nature loves will enjoy searching for mini-critters outside, a story time and a craft.  This class is open to participants from 3-5 years of age and the fee is $3.00.  This program is held at Laurel Hills Community Center on Thursday, May 15, from 2:00-3:00 p.m.  For more information contact Nature Programs at 919-831-6640.

Bug Adventure
Search for insects of all kinds in the park.  We will look under logs, in the soil, and among the trees for these fascinating little critters.  This program is open to participants aged 3-5 years.  It will be held on Wednesday, May 21, at Sertoma Arts Center from 2:00-3:00 p.m. The cost is $3.00.  For more information contact Nature Programs at 919-831-6640.

Tadpole Tracking
Join a nature instructor who will guide you in capturing and observing tadpoles. Learn the different kinds of frogs and toads that begin life as tadpoles in the pond. Come ready to get muddy! This program is open to participants from 8-12 years of age and the fee is $3.00. It will be held at Laurel Hills Community Center on Saturday, May 31, from 10:30-11:30 a.m. For more information, contact Nature Programs at 919-831-6640.
