Basic Computer 1 in Spanish
Do you want a better job? Do you want to be able to communicate quickly and easily with friends and family? Computer skills can help you do both. This class teaches Spanish-speakers basic computer skills such as how to use the keyboard, type simple documents, and navigate the Internet. Class is offered at Peach Road Community Center on Mondays, October 19-November 23 from 6-8 p.m. and at Pullen Community Center Tuesdays, October 13-November 17, 6:30-8:30 p.m. The class is $40.
Basic Computer 2 in Spanish
Do you want a better job? Do you want to be able to communicate quickly and easily with friends and family? Computer skills can help you do both. This class is a continuation of Basic Computer 1 and teaches Spanish-speakers basic computer skills such as how to manage files and use word processors and spreadsheet software. Class is $40 and offered at Peach Road Community Center on Wednesdays October 14-November 18 from 6-8 p.m.
French for Beginners
Wouldn’t it be fun to travel to France and be able to actually speak the language? How about watching French films and not needing the subtitles? We can’t promise all that in a beginning class—but we can give you a good start! Come learn basic French phrases and grammar, and enjoy learning about French culture in a fun and relaxing environment. Class is $50 and offered at Jaycee Community Center on Saturdays October 24-November 28 from 10-11:30 a.m.
Lunch with a Cop
Ever wonder what it’s like to be a police officer? Here’s your chance to ask a cop any questions you want! Join a Raleigh police officer and other teenagers to eat pizza and talk about what being a cop is all about. This free event includes lunch and open to children ages 14 – 17 years old. Lunch will be held at the Frank E. Evans Administrative Building on Friday, October 30, from 12-1:00 p.m.
Adult Beginning Spanish Class
Wouldn't it be great to put "Spanish-Speaker" down on your resume? How about talking to your Spanish-speaking friends, co-workers, and neighbors in their native language? What about traveling through Latin America and Spain and being able to communicate with the locals? If you've ever dreamed of learning Spanish, here is a perfect opportunity. Our native-Spanish-speaking teachers help you learn basic Spanish in an interesting and interactive environment. Classes are held at Millbrook Exchange Community Center and cost $50. Classes are held on Thursday evenings from 6:30 - 8 p.m. beginning October 22 through December 3. Come join the fun!
