The Construction Management Division of the Public Works Department is responsible for construction of new and major renovations of existing facilities for the City of Raleigh.

CEL Public Safety Center
The New Clarence E. Lightner Public Safety Center will consist of a 305,000-square-foot, seventeen-story building housing the following city departments: Raleigh Police Department Administration, Raleigh Fire Department Administration, City of Raleigh-Wake County Emergency Communication Center (including the Raleigh-Wake 911 Call Center), City of Raleigh Emergency Operations Center (EOC), City of Raleigh Data Center and Information Technology Department, Facilities and Operations Division of Parks and Recreation and City of Raleigh Traffic Control Center. Northeast Remote Operations Facility Upgrading existing facilities and additions to property to support Vehicle Fleet, Street Maintenance, Park Maintenance and Building Maintenance remote services. Design Fall 2011
Police Evidence Storage Facility - Cabarrus Street The 33,000 square foot building at 218 W Cabarrus St will be renovated to serve as the Downtown District Police Headquarters. The facility will also serve as a storage facility for Police Evidence. Construction Spring 2010
Police Six Forks District Station Upgrade The renovation of this facility will serve as the North Raleigh District Station Construction Spring 2010

Construction of a 5000 seat outdoor amphitheater/festival site next to the RCC Design

Wilders Grove Solid Waste Services Center

The Wilders Grove Service Center will be located on the closed Wilders Grove Landfill. The project includes the following major components: 24,000 SF Solid Waste Services Administration Building, Vehicle Wash Facility, Vehicle Fueling Facility, SWS Vehicle Parking, Roadways, and Site Utilities
