Cultural and Educational Classes

The English as a Second Language (ESL) Program offers a variety of educational and cultural classes to residents of Raleigh and the surrounding communities. These classes include:

  • Bomba and Plena Folk Dance - A typical folk dance that is still thriving in Puerto Rico.
  • Basic Mexican Folk Dances -Participants are introduced to the basic knowledge of various traditional Mexican folk dances
  • Basic Computer I in Spanish - Introduces basic computer skills.
  • Basic Computer II in Spanish - A continuation of Basic Computer I in Spanish.
  • Lunch with a Cop - This class aims to give youth an inside look into the career of law enforcement.
  • Water Safety Presentation - Teaches the risks associated with being around the water and how to avoid them.
  • Yoga - Gain flexibility and strength while moving to relaxing Latin rhythms.
