Raleigh Geoportal

The GIS Division of the Information Technology Department has launched it's new Raleigh Geoportal, which is a one-stop source for information and access to the city's wide variety of geospatial reources. The Raleigh Geoportal can be used to easily search, discover, view, download and access geographic data, services, and maps. The Geoportal also includes a "Clip-Zip-Ship" feature for self-service download of data within user specified areas.

The Raleigh Geoportal is based upon the open-source Esri Geoportal Server technology. By using the open-source technology and recognized geospatial standards, the City is able to contribute to a wider network of data providers in order to share geographic data with other organizations and government agencies. The Raleigh Geoportal is currently linked with the State of North Carolina NC OneMap Geospatial Portal, which allows users to search and view not only Raleigh, but also, statewide geographic data and resources.
