Garbage, Recycling and Yard Waste Collection

Last Modified: February 18, 2014

Garbage, yard waste, and recycling are collected on the same day of the week (Tuesday through Friday). Garbage and yard waste are collected weekly while recycling is collected every other week.

All customers are assigned to one of two schedules for recycling: the "A" week or the "B" week. View our collection schedule below to see when your next recycling week will be.

Don't know your service day or recycling week?
Visit MyRaleigh Services to enter your home address and find your service day and recycling week. Once you determine your service day and recycling week, return to this page to find your service calendar (see Downloadable Recycling Calendars below).

Some holidays require changes to the City's regular curbside collection schedule. Check your service calendar or the collection schedule below to learn how the holidays may affect your service.

Remember: garbage, recycling, and yard waste should be placed at the curb by 7 a.m. on collection day. Due to the high cost of fuel and our limited staffing, it is not feasible for collection crews to return to your home after they have already serviced your street.
