Raleigh's Public Utilities Land Management Program to Sell Fescue Hay and Bulk Feed Corn

The City of Raleigh Land Management Program is selling hay bales and bulk feed corn at the Neuse River Resource Recovery Facility. The hay and feed corn are grown at the Neuse River facility and are not intended for human consumption. The hay would be used as animal feed, and the corn would be used as animal feed for deer and chickens.

  • Hay bales will be available on a first come-first serve basis and will sell for 15 dollars per round bale.
  • Bulk feed corn will sell for 4 dollars per bushel (56 lb). Bulk purchases must be picked up by the customer in the back of a pickup truck or a large container, not in bags provided by the customer.

The sale will continue while quantities last. Payment is accepted by check or money order payable to the City of Raleigh and is required at time of pick up. No cash will be accepted.

Neuse River Resource Recovery Facility is located at 8500 Battle Bridge Road in Raleigh. Customers are asked to stop at the entrance gate and push-to-call the administration building for further instructions regarding pickup.
