The design phase has begun the first public meeting is tentatively scheduled for February 2018.

Summary

The project will widen Old Wake Forest Road to a 4-lane divided roadway from Atlantic Avenue/Litchford Road to capital Boulevard (US1). Roadway improvements will include:

  • Curb and gutter
  • Sidewalks on both sides of the roadway
  • Bicycle lanes
  • Streetlights
  • Landscaping
  • New railroad bridge

The project will also add curb and gutter and sidewalks to a section of Dixie Forest Road.
