Final design for this project is complete. City staff is now working on construction bid and permitting requirements to prepare for construction. This process will be complete this summer.
Note: Construction is expected to begin in the fall so that work at Lower Durant Lake does not impact park programs and access to the greenway.
The condition of the dam at Lower Durant Park was evaluated by Schnabel Engineering to determine dam safety issues that need to be addressed, including the flow of stormwater downstream, the outlet of the dam, and the slope of the dam.
This project is being completed in partnership with the Stormwater Management Division and Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources Department.
