Dix Park Site Plan

The City of Raleigh and the Dorothea Dix Park Conservancy invite the community to gather at the Raleigh Convention Center for an immersive multi-media event to celebrate the Dorothea Dix Park Master Plan. This will not be your typical community meeting, it will be a celebration of the 18+ month master planning process that has engaged over 65,000 people throughout the city culminating in a grand vision for the future of Dorothea Dix Park.

What: Dorothea Dix Park Master Plan Final Community Meeting

When: Wednesday, Feb. 6 | 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. | Presentation at 6:30 p.m.

Where: Raleigh Convention Center, 500 S Salisbury St, Raleigh, NC 27601

At 6:30 p.m., Kate Pearce, Dorothea Dix Park Project Manager with the City of Raleigh, will “step inside” the Master Plan to share what our community has envisioned for Raleigh’s great iconic park. Attendees will learn about what the plan includes as well as what to expect in the first phase of work. Throughout the rest of the event, community members will be able to explore the Master Plan through visual displays and park elements that bring the outside in, highlighting the various landscapes and program themes in the plan. Dorothea Dix Park staff, volunteers and members of the Michael Van Valkenburgh Associates consultant team will be on hand to guide attendees through the experience and answer questions. The event includes food, drinks, music, and a free t-shirt giveaway!
