Traffic Alert: 200-400 Blocks of Sampson Street for Sewer Repair

On Tuesday, Feb. 12, the City of Raleigh will close the 200 to 400 blocks of Sampson Street, between Northbrook Drive and Pamlico Drive, for an emergency sewer repair. Work will begin at 9 a.m. and is expected to be complete by 4 p.m.

The following is a detour around the work site:

  • Motorists traveling southbound on Sampson Street will make a right onto Terry Street, left onto Ellwood Drive, left onto Pamlico Drive to Sampson Street; and,
  • Motorists traveling northbound on Sampson Street will make a left onto Pamlico Drive, right onto Ellwood Drive, right onto Terry Street to Northbrook Drive.

Accommodations will be made for local residential traffic.

Motorists approaching this work area should expect delays and are advised to avoid this area if possible.

Customers in this area should not experience any interruption of service.
