Celebrating Raleigh’s First Street to Receive Greenroads’ Silver Certification

Mark your calendar, the Sandy Forks Road Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony is Tuesday, April 10.

The City of Raleigh’s Sandy Forks Road Widening Project has earned Greenroads’ silver certification. Sandy Forks Road is just one of the 45 Greenroads projects certified in the world and is currently Greenroads’ top-ranked and highest scoring project.

To mark the completion of the Project, the City will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the bioretention pond next to The Lakes Drive on Tuesday, April 10 at 10 a.m.

Mayor Nancy McFarlane is the featured speaker for the ceremony. She will be joined by District A Council Member Richard A. Thompson, Engineering Services Director Richard Kelly, and a staff member from RK&K the City’s design consultant for the project.
