ADOPTED CIP FY2015-2019
Little River Projects
Wake County, in partnership with the City of Raleigh and the utility merger municipalities, has worked for
many years to acquire the land necessary to construct the Little River Reservoir in Eastern Wake County.
The Little River water shed is the last available water shed in Wake County that is economically feasible
to develop as a reservoir. The City of Raleigh Water Supply plan identifies the Little River Reservoir as
the long range source of new drinking water for the Greater Raleigh Utility Service Area. This project
grouping funds the wetland mitigation cost and wetland restoration areas.
