Pullen Park and Fred Fletcher Park will be hosting some of the area’s local talent this summer for your enjoyment. Come on by for multiple nights of familiar classics as well as original songs from these talented artists. Pullen Place Cafe will have food available for purchase while food trucks will be present at the Fletcher Park shows. The Annual Kid’s Fishing Derby is held once a year at Lake Wheeler Park. Kids age 6 through 12 are encouraged to participate. This is a free event but make sure to register early! Preregistration is required. Children will be divided into two groups: Group A for children 6-8 and Group B for children 9-12. The Annual Community Art Day at Powell Drive on Saturday will be a family event full of fun art activities and live music. The event will include special performances by local dance groups, an art exhibition by community schools, and an opportunity to purchase crafts from local art vendors. Kids can participate in a variety of free activities, such as a painting station, sidewalk chalk decorating and dance jam session with the Drum Circle. Celebrate wetlands at our second annual Mud Day festival.
