Raleigh's 21st Annual Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprise Small Business Expo

On Jan. 28, the City of Raleigh and the Wake County Public School System (WCPSS) will come together for the 21st Annual Small Business Expo.

Join us! This is a great way to get informed regarding City of Raleigh and Wake County Public School System (WCPSS) projects for 2019. Take advantage of this great opportunity to network with local, state procurement agencies and prime contractors searching for certified minority and women-owned businesses. If your company is not certified yet, you are still welcome to join us.

The event will run from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Southeast Raleigh Highschool, 2600 Rock Quarry Road, Raleigh, NC 27610.

The expo is a great opportunity to network with local and state agencies and meet prime contractors searching for certified minority and women-owned businesses for sub-contracting opportunities.

Gilbane, Holt Brothers, Clancy and Theys, and Balfour and Beatty are just a few of the companies that will be in attendance (full list of attendees here). Representatives from NC State, City of Durham and Town of Cary will also be present.

At 4:30 pm there will be an informational session conducted by NC DOT and United Minority Contractors of North Carolina to provide business owners with what they need to know in order to do business with these organizations.

If you are a small business owner and you are not certified with the Historically Underutilized Businesses (HUD) office or the Department of Transportation, Disadvantaged Business Enterprise you are welcome to attend and learn more about how to become certified.
