Project Update, Updated May 24
The northern section of Forestville Road at Mitchell Mill is scheduled to close to traffic on Friday, June 8. Mitchell Mill Road will remain open, but there will be no direct access to the northern section of Forestville Road from Mitchell Mill Road during the grading operations and installation of the second half of the new box culvert. The City’s contractor, Rifenburg Construction, is scheduled to reopen the road at the beginning of August.
The north side of Mitchell Mill Road and Forestville Road at the intersection will be closed to traffic while the new box culvert is installed. Mitchell Mill Road will remain open to traffic in both directions while this phase of the project is completed, but the northern section of Forestville Road will not have direct access from Mitchell Mill Road until the beginning of August.
Roadway construction is weather dependent, and with the amount of rain and hit and miss storms in the forecast, the dates listed are subject to change. Any delays will be posted to the project website and bulletins will be sent to Mitchell Mill Road update subscribers.
