Citrix Named Title Sponsor for Raleigh Bikeshare Program
In its ongoing commitment to power a world where people are connected and accessible, Citrix will be the lead sponsor of the City of Raleigh’s first bikeshare program scheduled to launch late this summer. The bikeshare program is a collaborative effort involving the City of Raleigh, Citrix, and Bewegen Technologies, Inc.
“We are very excited to have Citrix as the sponsor for our bikeshare system,” said Eric Lamb, transportation planning manager for the City of Raleigh. “Their branding is going to give our bicycles an iconic appeal that we believe will help contribute to the success of the system.”
Citrix announced that the official name of the bikeshare will be Citrix Cycle.
"Citrix is proud to have a home in Raleigh and is always seeking ways to invest in and support our community,” said Nate Spikler, Citrix Raleigh site leader. “Citrix Cycle is a part of our ongoing commitment to the City of Raleigh to help move our community forward as an active, vibrant, and innovative city. Citrix Cycle will create new mobility opportunities for residents, visitors, and employees alike, while reducing carbon footprints and increasing options for daily physical activity.”
The Citrix Cycle dock-based system will launch with 300 bikes for rent at 30 bike stations located around Raleigh, including Hillsborough Street and Dorothea Dix Park.
The fees for bike rental include:
- One Way Trips: $2
- Day Pass (24hr): $6
- Monthly Memberships: $20
- Annual Memberships: $85
Citrix Cycle and the City of Raleigh believe the bikeshare program should be affordable and accessible for everyone. The program will offer discounts for students at annual rate of $65 and an Access Pass for qualifying residents at an annual rate of $10.
All memberships include unlimited 45-minute rides.
