View Downtown Transportation Plan Options at Open House March 13
Four potential scenarios for Downtown Transportation Plan will be on view during an open house Wednesday, March 13 at the Raleigh Convention Center.
Whether you live, work or love to visit downtown, stop by from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. to view the plans which include recommendations on improvements for for bicycles, pedestrians, transit, transportation, and urban design through the next 10 years. The recommendations include Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) routes identified in the 2016 Wake Transit Plan throughout Downtown Raleigh.
Bus Rapid Transit often operates in its own lane, has priority signalling and few stops. Fares are also collected before pre-boarding. All of these features save time.
The City of Raleigh, in partnership with CAMPO, GoTriangle, and NCDOT, is leading this multimodal Downtown Transportation Plan process.
Scenario report cards with the different service routes outlining performance expectations and impactswill be on view. The cards tell you which streets will be included in the route and if connections are available to Union Station.
