Public Notification - Fire Station 14 Design Citizen Engagement

News posted Jul. 22, 2016 - 12:00 pm

The City of Raleigh Fire Department will hold a public meeting on the rebuild of Fire Station Fourteen, on August 9th, at 7 p.m. The meeting will be held at Jaycee Park Community Center located at 2405 Wade Ave, Raleigh, NC 27607.

The purpose of the meeting, hosted by the Office of the Fire Chief and Stewart-Cooper-Newell Architects, is to present the current phase of the Station Fourteen relocation project, how design functionality enhances operational capability, review site drawings, review building renderings, and field citizen discussion/feedback.

Because the station is highly revered by the surrounding community, citizen input will be sought during the project’s design phase. A series of community meetings will be held to keep the community informed and offer an opportunity for citizens to provide comment. Constructed is estimated to begin in 2017.
