Using High-Tech Mapping to Better Serve Residents, GIS Day Set for Nov. 14

The City of Raleigh, Wake County, and North Carolina state government celebrate GIS Day with an open house at the City of Raleigh Museum on Nov. 14.

Learn about Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and how mapping technology is improving public services like siting buildings, finding a local park, and routing more efficient travel. The free event will include live demonstrations, a theater with short presentations throughout the day, and a map gallery.

GIS Day details:

  • Wednesday, Nov. 14, 9:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
  • City of Raleigh Museum, 220 Fayetteville St.
