The City of Raleigh is co-sponsoring a national landscaping conference, Leading with Landscape, on April 13. The event takes place at NC State University’s James B. Hunt, Jr. Library in Raleigh. Featured speakers include Stephen Bentley of the City’s Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Resources Department and novelist and playwright Ariel Dorfman. Conference participants will be invited to tour significant landscapes throughout the Research Triangle.

Conference organizers will “draw attention to local and regional work that represents the best planning and design initiatives that strike a balance with natural, historic, cultural, and ecological systems.” Other organizations supporting the conference include the national non-profit, The Cultural Landscape Foundation (TCLF); NC State University; and the North Carolina Museum of Art.

Visit the TCLF’s conference web page for more information and to register.
