The northern section of Forestville Road will close to traffic on Friday, June 22.

Starting at 9 a.m. on Friday, June 22, the City’s contractor, Rifenburg Construction will begin shifting traffic into a new pattern at the intersection of Forestville Road and Mitchell Mill Road. Traffic will be switched to the south side of the roadway, and the northern section of Forestville Road will be closed at that time.

Mitchell Mill Road will remain open during the traffic shift but there will be lane closures, and delays are expected while the pavement markings and barricades are moved into place. Please drive slowly and pay close attention to all signage and flagging operations while the new traffic pattern is put into place.

Mitchell Mill Road will remain open to traffic in both directions while this phase of the project is completed, but the northern section of Forestville Road will not be accessible from Mitchell Mill Road beginning Friday, June 22, through early August.

Rifenburg Construction will install the second half of a large box culvert that runs under Mitchell Mill Road and complete some major grading operations while the northern section of Forestville Road at Mitchell Mill Road is closed.
