City has New Public Information Officer

New Public Information Officer
Beginning immediately, all media inquiries should be directed to Julia Milstead, the City of Raleigh's new Public Information Officer (PIO).
Ms. Milstead joined the City of Raleigh in November 2017 as a Communication Administrator. Prior to working for the City, she was an award-winning journalist for more than two decades. She spent much of that time covering city government. She also worked in corporate communications for Progress Energy and Duke Energy.
Ms. Milstead replaces John Boyette as the City's PIO. Mr. Boyette is retiring after 20 years with the City, effective January 1. Ms. Milstead can be reached at 919-996-3029 or julia.milstead@raleighnc.gov
