Let's Celebrate!

The Public Utilities Department was established in 1887 as an alternative to septic tanks and untreated well water. The department's 130th Anniversary will be celebrated with an exhibit showcasing the history of Public Utilities held April 6-8, 2017 at the City of Raleigh Museum, 220 Fayetteville Street in Raleigh. The exhibit will feature historical maps, photos and documents, aged pipes and antique equipment from the City's archives.

Mark your calendar and join us at the exhibit's opening ceremony, Thursday, April 6 at 4 p.m. Refreshments will be served. This event is free and open to the public.
