New Hours, Security Changes Coming to Downtown City Government Buildings

[Alert]News posted Aug. 29, 2018 - 5:10 pm

Beginning Sept. 4, visitors to the Raleigh Municipal Building (RMB) and two other City government facilities will notice new building hours and be required to go through a new security check-in process. In addition to RMB, these changes will be implemented at the City’s One Exchange Plaza (OEP) building at 219 Fayetteville St. and its Dillon Building at 310 W. Martin St.

Doors at all three buildings will open to the public at 8:15 a.m. and close at 5:15 p.m. Monday through Friday, unless after-hours public meetings are scheduled. Security guards will be located on the first and third floors of RMB, the first floor of OEP, and the first-floor main entrance at the Dillon Building. These guards will assist visitors with the new check-in process. Delivery personnel will also have to check-in at the security desks before proceeding to their delivery destinations.
