'Pairing Landscaping & Stormwater Management' Forum

Event posted Nov. 16, 2017 - 2:00 pm
UNC Environmental Finance Center

Are you interested in providing green stormwater management options to your clients? We can help you get started!

Raleigh Stormwater and the Environmental Finance Center at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill are hosting a free forum showcasing the City of Raleigh's Stormwater Quality Cost Share Program. This program provides reimbursement to property owners who use features, like rain gardens and permeable pavement, for landscaping and to capture stormwater runoff. The program is available to commercial and residential property owners who place qualifying stormwater management practices on their property that both beautify the area and improve the quality of local waterways.

While the City provides up to 90 percent reimbursement to participants, property owners work closely with designers, developers, and contractors to ensure that a project is properly designed, installed, and maintained.

This event will provide the development community with:

  • An overview of the program and its benefits;
  • A chance to hear from contractors, designers, and property owners who have participated in the program; and,
  • An opportunity to view sample stormwater management practices.
The event is supported by a grant from the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation's Environmental Solutions in Communities Program.
